haven’t made a pixel planet in a while!
I feel like when Gary and Quinn finally meet again in Final Space, there relationship will be like this.
If anyone wants to assign these Vines by Final Space’s Creator, Olan Rogers, to any specific situations or characters in Final Space, that would be just fine by me.
Also, this is another entry in the “Finals Space as Vines” thing that I did.
THE POPCORN KING [ ANIMATED STORY ]
If you are a fan of Final Space, you DEFINITELY NEED to check the stuff on it’s creator’s (Olan Rogers) Youtube channel. Because he is pretty awesome.
On a related note, some people have said that Final Space makes more sense if you’re already an Olan fan because injokes, but I actually liked Final Space before I knew anything about Olan Rogers. I think I was either searching for pilots on youtube or it was mentioned in a video like last year Actually, I was directed towards it when it was first announced that TBS would go into animation, I was anticipating Close Enough, since it was by J.G. Quintel (creator of Regular Show and voice of Mordecai and Hi-Five Ghost) and seeing the initial announcement teaser for their lineup, I caught glimpses of Final Space. I’m a big fan of Rick and Morty and of Sci-Fi/Fantasy in general, so I decided to look into it. I found the original (I didn’t know about it’s “predecessor, Gary Space) short on YouTube and, needless to say, I loved the pilot. It was SOOOOOOOO AMAZING!!!!!!! That and another animated pilot/short by him called “The Lion’s Blaze” that I saw in the recommended tab. They were amazing and I hoped that they would both get picked up because I wanted to see where they would go. And then there was that Final Space easter egg/cameo in that one Rick and Morty fan-made animation. You know the one, Morty declares he’ll canonically become vegan at the end of it. I actually completely missed that it was Final Space until very recently when I saw a screencap of that video discussing a possible tie between Final Space and Rick and Morty (I didn’t watch the discussion video, but I instantly knew where the thumbnail was from.) When they finally released the trailers for Final Space like last month, I decided to re-live the pilot and after watching the first two episodes when they were released, I decided to check out more of the creator’s works, especially after I found out that Olan himself was voicing Gary. I think the initial thought process was to farm for potential incorrect quotes, but, again needless to say, Final Space was my gateway drug to Olan Rogers.
About Final Space:
An astronaut named Gary and his planet-destroying sidekick called Mooncake embark on serialized journeys through space in order to unlock the mystery of where the universe actually ends and if it actually does exist. Rogers and David Sacks are writers and executive producers for the TBS original, which is being produced by Conan O'Brien’s Conaco, New Form and in association with Turner’s Studio T.
In part 1 of the Behind the Scenes video: Creator: Olan Rogers lists Interstellar as an inspiration for how the show evolved from Gary Space.
Now that has my mind thinking of ways to create situations with well known Interstellar music, both from the movie and related it.
I don’t know if anyone else is starting the “Final Space as Vines” trend yet, so I’ll start.
Here, we have Gary and the Catos bonding.
My final entry of the day for the “Final Space as Vines”.
The last five years of Gary’s life in a nutshell. Considering Gary’s video messaging, there might actually be enough footage to remake this in a crack video.
Another “Final Space as Vines” entry.

Wasn’t this fanmade?
By modern science and medicine, it was amazing that he was able to not only survive for as long as he did with ALS, but how he never let that stopped him from making new discoveries and contributions to science, especially if was about Black holes, space, relativity, etc.
The best thing, for me, was that we were all on the same planet as him; that we breathed the same air as a man who easily demystified the stars.
It will hit for a time with tears in many people’s eyes, but let us not forget to honor and celebrate his life, his accomplishments, and his contributions to the world at large.
Fare thee well, Mr. Hawking.
You’ve become one with the stars and we shall see you there.
